Prior to The Chi-Cheemaun (pictured below), The Norisle was one of the main passenger ferries from Tobermory to Manitoulin Island. It now takes up permanent residence at the Manitowaning Marina.

In operation since 1974, The Chi-Cheemaun (Big Canoe) has been the main Manitoulin-Tobermory ferry, carrying up to 143 cars and 638 passengers per run from May until October.

The Gore Bay Airport is conveniently located only 20 minutes from Kagawong.

Little Current's one-of-a-kind Swing Bridge is the only permanent connection between Manitoulin island and the mainland. During the summer months, the bridge swings open on the hour for marine traffic for approximately 15 minutes, from dawn until dusk.
